When Ashton Kutcher takes on a role, he does everything he can to put himself in the shoes of the person he's playing. That is ultimately how he landed himself in the hospital only two days before filming started on the "Jobs" biopic reports Hollywood Reporter on Jan. 28.
Kutcher says that he took on the fruitatarian diet that Steve Jobs ate and it made him so sick that he had to go to the hospital because his pancreas levels where all over the place. Ashton claims that it was the scariest thing he's ever done, especially knowing that Jobs died of pancreatic cancer. The American Cancer Society claims, however, that eating an all fruit diet has never been a cause or a contributor to any type of cancer.
Along with the fruitatarian diet, Kutcher says that he's always thought of Jobs as a personal hero and watched hundreds of hours of speeches and footage of Jobs to prepare for the role. Ashton has always been a fan of digital technologies has has made serious investments in Skype and Foursquare.
"Jobs" is expected to be in theaters April 19.
