Ashton Kutcher went to great lengths to make sure he was in tune with Steve Jobs for his role in “jOBS.” The actor even went as far as to copy Jobs “fruitarian diet” which landed him in the hospital according to Us Weekly on Jan. 26.
Kutcher decided to try the “fruitarian diet” which consists of only consuming fruits, nuts and seeds. No animal products, vegetables or grains are allowed. As a result of this new diet, Kutcher ended up in the hospital two days before they started shooting the movie.
The new diet caused Ashton to have his pancreas levels out of whack and in complete pain.
Kutcher also watched hundreds of hours of footage, looking over Jobs’ speeches, and interviewing Jobs’ friends t be sure he was playing the role of Steve Jobs to the best of his ability.
Ashton Kutcher revealed to Us Weekly that he feels the diet was definitely worth it. He did admit he was nervous about the reception of the film since it was portraying a guy who recently passed away and is still fresh in peoples minds.
