Ashton Kutcher has been praised for his performance in the Steve Jobs biopic “jOBS.” Sundance Film Festival critics have said that the actor does an incredible job in portraying Jobs’ charisma, expressions, and love for his work. On Monday, Jan. 28, Ashton Kutcher revealed to Us Weekly that it was not as easy as it looks; sharing that he was even hospitalized for going too far.
The usually comedic 34-year-old Kutcher, reportedly went through extreme lengths to step into Apple founder Steve Jobs’ shoes. Kutcher picked up Steve’s “Fruitarian Diet” and consumed only fruits, nuts, and seeds. This means no animal products or even vegetables. Unfortunately for Kutcher, he learned the hard way that this risky change of diet can lead to some serious issues.
“I was like doubled over in pain, and my pancreas levels were completely out of whack, which was completely terrifying,” Kutcher tells the source. The star was hospitalized for two days before shooting the film.
Steve Jobs passed away October 2011 at the age of 56 due to pancreatic cancer.
The film “jOBS” is scheduled to hit theaters on April 19. Kutcher costars with Josh Gad, J.K. Simmons, and Dermot Mulroney.
