Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's marriage was legal

There's been some speculation that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore never made their marriage legal, but those rumors have been put to rest.

A source close to Kutcher's current girlfriend and former co-star, Mila Kunis, insinuated that Kutcher and Moore only had a religious ceremony in 2005, never doing the legal paperwork. That caused quite the controversy online. The rumors were fueled by the fact that the two haven't made any moves to legally end their marriage since their split last November.

According to a Quitclaim deed on one of their properties, dated March 6, 2012 and filed in the L.A. County Recorder's Office, Demi is referred to as “spouse” and Ashton as a “married man."

Those marital status descriptions are required on all California real estate transfers.

Despite the legalities, it seems that Kutcher has really moved on. He refers to Kunis, who he first met on the set of "That 70's Show" when she was just 14-years-old, as his "little wife". The National Enquirer has said that Kutcher has even proposed to Kunis, but she's declined. Gossip Cop claims that the report is false and the rumors are unsubstantiated.
