Tonight on the new ABC Family show "Young & Hungry" fans got to see Ashley Tisdale in a new role. She is come a long way since her time on Disney channel. On Wednesday, E! Online shared what she had to say about this role on the show. She played a girl who was an obvious lesbian and went out on a date with a girl who wasn't really into women.

Ashley had never kissed a girl before this role. It was her first time to do it and it was on television. Here is what she had to say, "I had never kissed a girl before! For me I just like to play different characters and push the envelope out of my own comfort level, and this was definitely very different." Tisdale seemed really comfortable in the role.

Tisdale though the role would be interesting to play. She said, "For me I always love challenging myself. I still don’t know if I pulled it off great. Hopefully I did, but it was a lot of fun!" Ashley did pull it off really well. It was obvious she was into Emily Osment's character on the show even though she wasn't into the idea of dating a woman.

This should just be a one-time role on "Young & Hungry" but now that Ashley Tisdale has proved to the world that she can play a lesbian you never know what her next role might end up being. She did a great job with it.

"Young & Hungry" is a great show that airs on ABC Family. New episodes air every Wednesday night and fans are loving it so far. This is a great 30 minute sitcom that stars Emily Osment. It is a pretty family friendly show but does have a few jokes here and there that you might hope end up going over your kid's head.
