For the collaboration, Ashley Smith created a signature capsule collection to debut in conjunction with the brand’s core Fall / Winter 2014 collection.
The featured designs are reminiscent of the 23-year-old's style-- well known for her wide-gapped smile and sexy silhouette.
Featured in the new collection are wardrobe essentials that encapsulate the spirit of creative subculture with a dash of collegiate.
“I wanted to bring the RVCA girl a few key pieces that felt a little more playful, sexy even,” Smith says. “Pairing the likes of my leather biker jacket, for instance, with any of the classic RVCA staples from the core women’s collection is the perfect way to personify that effortless RVCA style in an updated and sexy way.”
For the campaign, shot by Sandy Kim, there is a shared ideology between Smith and RVCA that life is all about the balance of opposites. Smith models her signature RVCA collection in a series of shots that represent dual nature of every young woman’s personality.
“No matter what you like or where you come from, whether you're feeling like a good girl or a bad girl, these pieces express who I am and I hope they help do the same for you!" Smith said.
The Fall / Winter 2014 Ashley Smith x RVCA collection is the first in a series of six capsule collections designed by the model that will be available at select retailers and online at www.rvca.com.
Smith will be on hand this Thursday, January 23rd for the debut at ACME in New York City as well as an undisclosed lineup of artists from the brand’s Artist Network Program.
