Ashley Ramsey was crowned Miss Tampa on Saturday, according to Tampa Bay Online.
The crowning qualifies her as a contestant in the Miss Florida Pageant. If she wins at the state level, she will represent Florida at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
The Miss Florida Pageant is scheduled for July 10-13 in St. Petersburg.
She lives in Tampa and attends the University of South Florida, according to her Facebook profile.
She finished in the top 11 at the Miss Florida 2012 Pageant as Miss Tampa Bay.
She was also a contestant in the Miss Florida 2011 Pageant as Miss Orlando.
Ramsey was a semifinalist at the Miss Florida 2010 Pageant as Miss Central Florida Beaches.
In 2009, she entered the Miss Florida Pageant as Miss Zephyrhills.
If Ramsey wins at the state level, she will become the sixth Miss Tampa to be crowned Miss Florida.
Previous Miss Tampa titleholders who went on to be crowned Miss Florida are Miss Florida 1993 Nicole Padgett, Miss Florida 1978 Carolyn Cline, Miss Florida 1977 Cathy La Belle, Miss Florida 1953 Marjorie Simmons and Miss Florida 1949 Shirley Ann Rhodes.
