TV and movie actress Ashley Judd has reportedly split with race car driver husband Dario Franchitti. The couple appears to be calling it quits after an 11-year marriage, which may be considered lengthy by Hollywood standards these days.
Ashley Judd has been seen many times cheering on her husband from the sidelines at the huge sporting event, the Indy 500. However, those days may be over. As reported by LA Times on Jan. 29, this is a mutual decision for the pair to split up, as the couple told People magazine in a statement:
"We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
Judd and Franchitti have no children together. However, one has to wonder what sort of settlement will occur based on their respective careers, both of which have been lucrative. Franchitti has won the Indianapolis 500 race thee times, and the IndyCar Series championship four times during his career: 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Judd has been a talented actress in the movie industry since 1992 and has also appeared in several TV roles.
Ashley Judd has appeared in hit movie roles including "Kiss the Girls," "A Time to Kill," and "Dolphin Tale." Judd has appeared more recently on the television series "Missing." Although the ABC series received several Emmy Award nominations in 2012, including one for Judd as lead actress, it was canceled during its first season after 10 episodes. Franchitti has yet to do any guest roles on TV yet, such as "Dancing With the Stars," like fellow driver, Hélio Castroneves, but he hs been on plenty of TV talk shows for interviews including "Live With Regis and Kelly," and "Larry King Live."
