Ashley Judd shocked fans this week when she announced that she and her racecar driving husband, Dario Franchitti, will be divorcing, CNN reported on Jan. 30.
Shortly after the divorce announcement was made, Judd took to her Twitter account to reveal that she and Dario will be “family forever,” a sentiment which Franchitti, a three time Indianapolis 500 winner, later tweeted back to his estranged wife.
Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti married in Scotland in 2001, and became one of racing most well-known couples. Judd was often seen at the racetrack rooting on her husband, whom she will likely continue to support even though their divorcing.
