Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross tie the knot in ceremony at home of Diana Ross

It was a great way to end the summer for Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross as the couple tied the knot over the weekend at Evan’s mother Diana Ross’ Connecticut estate.

The actress and singer’s sister, Jessica Simpson, served as the bride’s maid of honor and Diana Ross was said to officiate the ceremony as the couple married in front of a small gathering of family and friends.

The couple reported became engaged in January with Ross proposed during a Hawaiian vacation.

Simpson’s five year old son, Bronx Wentz, from her first marriage to Fall Out Boy sing Peter Wentz, walked his mom down the aisle, according to Us Weekly.

According to reports, the bride wore a pearl-embellished long sleeved wedding gown, pictured here as well as with $750,000 worth of Neil Lane jewelry worth more than $750, 000 and included a tiara veil.

Leading up to the wedding, engagement celebrations included, parties and gatherings, most notably a bridal shower hosted by Jessica at her Los Angeles home last month. The couple also made headlines with their engagement party.

"What an amazing engagement party with all of our loved ones! We gettin' married," the actress said on Twitter during the party. She also posted a photo of her and Ross celebrating.

Ross will soon be seen in “The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay” opening later this year.

Simpson an actress and singer, starred in "The Melrose Place” reboot and has released albums, “Autobiography,” “I Am Me” and “Bittersweet World.”

This is the first marriage for Ross and the second for Simpson, although it wasn’t the only wedding this summer for the Simpson Family. Jessica married fiance Eric Johnson in July.
