ASF Vice President named to CAI board of directors

Joanne Willoughby, vice president of Association Services of Florida, an Associa company, was elected as vice president of the Southeast Florida chapter of Community Associations Institute.

Willoughby was previously the secretary of the Southeast Florida chapter prior to the nomination for vice president.

“Involvement with CAI strengthens our ability to manage our communities well by allowing community managers to interact and learn from tenured professionals in the industry,” said ASF President and CEO Jeffrey Ulm. “Joanne’s appointment shows her dedication to her communities, and our homeowners and company will benefit from the knowledge she gains in her new position.”

Willoughby entered the Miami association management industry 11 years ago when she joined ASF. Previously, she was the director of on-site communities, education and training for the company. As part of CAI, Willoughby is a member of the scholarship committee that assists managers with grants to fund their Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association (PCAM) designations. This year, she will be on an annual trade show legislative panel as a PCAM representative. She also mentors community association managers who are working on the required case study for their PCAM designation.
