With cooperation from the Jersey Shore Running Club, Shore Athletic Club and Freehold Area Running Club the eighth annual Asbury Park 5K will be held on Saturday August 13, 2011. The race features a 3.1 mile course on a two-loop rectangular course that starts on the road adjacent to Bradley Park, goes south then north and ends with a spectacular finish on the boardwalk near Asbury Park’s famed Convention Hall. The course makes for some great spectator viewing on Ocean Avenue near Convention Hall and on the boardwalk as the runners finish.
