Asa on the 'Shahs of Sunset' Season 2 reunion and what's ahead

After last Sunday's Persian War aka the “Shahs of Sunset” Season 2 reunion, we thought we’d ask one of the main targets of the blood bath – Asa Soltan Rahmati – how she survived it all and what she thinks has happened to the once tight-knit group of friends.

Everyone seemed to be at each other’s throats at one point or another during the season and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi was kicked out of the clan. But it was Asa and GG who engaged in some of the fiercest battles both on the show and at the reunion. Things even got physical between the two in the second season and on the reunion GG hit way below the belt by making fun of Asa's weight. Ouch!

In an exclusive interview Asa tells Examiner.com that she had never seen a reunion show so she had no expectations but she didn’t like how it turned out. And things with GG haven’t changed, she adds.

“It was really draining – lots of disrespect and strange animated behavior,” Asa says. “Golnesa’s aggressive and violent behavior put a major rift in the group. That’s where we all drew the line.”

“We are two people with very different value systems,” Asa explains. “She has been aggressive and verbally abusive towards me since the very first time I met her. I knew she had problems and gave her so many passes, and when I along with the rest of the world saw her behavior escalating into being physically violent that’s when I had to step out of that relationship.”

Asa adds, “I don’t want that type of energy in my life. That is not entertainment for me, it’s my real life.”

In Season 2 we did see a more animated Asa and one unafraid to give back to GG whatever she dished out. Asa says that was all part of becoming more comfortable being on the show.

“I was very unsure about being on a reality show in Season 1 and I didn’t really give it much energy,” Asa explains, “then I opened up more about my life in Season 2.” She adds, “I’m very real and don’t watch a whole lot of TV so what you see is me raw.”

Some of what Asa opened up about was her relationship with Jermaine Jackson Jr. - son of Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson music dynasty. Except for saying they are together, however, Asa won’t reveal much more.

“Jermaine and I went to high school together. We both went to Beverly Hills High School,” Asa explains. “We’ve been together for two-and-a-half years and are very private. Our relationship is not secret but it is sacred to us.”

One thing we did learn a lot about in the second season was Asa’s business side. She got her Diamond Water off the ground and we saw he go hard on her music career.

We asked Asa if the mainstream public was ready for a“diamond-infused” water from a woman who says she lives a “modern Persian gypsy bohemian lifestyle.”

“Absolutely,” Asa insists. “In fact, there is so much buzz around alkaline water and alkaline diets in Hollywood’s elite circles right now. People are beginning to educate themselves about the enormous health benefits of alkaline water. Drinking Diamond Water produces real results in your body.”

Asa adds, “Diamond Water is alkaline water with one of the highest possible Ph on the market at 9.5 and it is enhanced with real diamonds.” She notes the water hasn’t officially launched but already there is “major distribution interest” internationally and the pre order list is “overwhelming.”

“It’s a movement,” Asa says of Diamond Water. “Live healthy, shine bright.”

The self-described “Persian Pop Priestess” notes there’s been international interest in her music as well.

“It’s been awesome,” Asa adds. “I’ve been getting offers around the world to go perform and I also have sold thousands of copies of my singles, 'GOLD,' 'Tehrangeles' and 'Diamond Water' on iTunes.”

What’s ahead for Asa? Something she describes as a “secret project.” Hm-m-m-m-m.

Any thoughts on what Asa’s secret project might be?
