As reported by ESPN Deportes on Sunday, Roma hosted club team Bologna and won with five goals. The victory gave AS Roma the pole position in the Italian soccer league which was threatened to be taken by SSC Napoli and Juventus FC.
The goals for Roma were scored by midfielder Alessandro Florenzi in the 8th minute, two by Ivorian striker Gervinho in the 17th and 62nd minute, one by Moroccan defender Mehdi Benatia, and the last by Serbian striker Adem Ljajic in the 85th minute.
Bologna was not much of a challenge, as they are currently placed in 18th place, which is in the relegation zone.
The next game for AS Roma is on Saturday against Inter Milan. Milan is currently in fourth place of the Serie A table. The game will be tough for Roma as they will be the guests of the game.
Napoli and last year’s champions, Juventus, are currently chasing Roma in second place with 16 points each after six rounds of the Italian soccer league. Roma leads the league with 18 points.
