As RIM fades, calls the kettle black

Blackberry, crackberry, whatever it is referred to, most people know of RIM's flagship and most used cellular device. Once the go-to smartphone for businesses, RIM's recent years have left it wide open for attack via Apple and Google, despite their latest release which happened today. According to RIM's chief executive, the iPhone 5 is 'outdated' and in need of a serious upgrade. Again, this is coming from one of the leaders of the same company who basically copied the latest iPhone and Android style, look, and feel as seen in the latter hyperlink. While the chief executive claims that something revolutionary needs to come out of the next iPhone, there is nothing particularly mind blowing from the latest Blackberry. One cannot simply rename apps and functions on a smartphone and then start calling one of the biggest competitors of all time 'outdated'. Perhaps this will deliver the swift kick in the right region in order to get RIM back to its glory days of being a top contender in a market it once almost owned.
