You know what I like about working from home (besides my 30 second commute)? I get to do things my way. I'm a solopreneur, so I don't have to answer to anyone but myself. I don't have to sit through 3 hour meetings with the "team", I don't even have to follow trite procedures dictated by the bureaucracy. I get to make things up as I go and I use what works for me, no matter how silly or backwards or insane. So this is what I came up with to help motivate myself and to keep me on task.
- Admin Mondays - pay bills, check invoices, filing, *yawn*
- New Tuesdays - spend 10-20 minutes of the day to identifying and contacting possible new clients
- Writing Wednesdays - writing for me, and writing for clients
- Follow-Up Fridays - this is the day I follow up with new client leads, or unpaid invoices.
Laugh if you will...but I'm doing it my way!
