Arts Festivals offer artists a chance share their work

There is a common misconception that being an artist means starving. But there are ways artists can make money. By participating in arts shows, artists can share their work, sell their work and make money.

Jan Lower displayed her work at the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. She produces and sells acrylic paintings and enjoyed participating in the Festival. "I love painting and I enjoy this Festival. There were many people here and the weather was great.

Artists look for Festivals that offer large numbers of visitors and people who are willing to spend money on art work. Many artists will travel around the nation to display and sell their art work. The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts offered a fun environment to sell artwork.

Lorenzo Ortega sold steel and stone sculptures at the Festival. "I love being a part of this show. I travel around the nation and I love this show," he said.

Steven Penafiel produces oil paintings and enjoyed participating in the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts. "This is a very good show. I have worked at art and painting most of my life," he said.
