The Four Directions - A Center for the Arts and Healing will hold its grand opening this weekend, May 16-18, featuring a multitude of notable artists, poets, storytellers & musicians.

General admission is free for the entire three days. A concert on Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. carries a suggested donation of $25 and features local musicians Morgan Erina of Broken Fences, Brad Yoder, Jeremy Caywood & Jason Rafalak. Tickets for the concert and the schedule for the weekend are available through Eventbrite or through links from the Center's website.

The grand opening features a full weekend of free entertainment with an artist exhibition, silent auction, poetry, story-telling, and demonstrations from local artists with a focus on healing. Free sessions on the practices of Yoga and Tai Chi, energy healing, the art and science of aromatherapy, among others, will be available.

The Four Directions is located a 40 minute drive North from Pittsburgh near the intersection of Rt 8 and Rt 910. Situated on ten rural acres of terraced hillsides, it has three lovely spring-fed ponds and a blend of scenic woodlands, floriferous gardens and wild native pastures with historic and modern buildings and outdoor structures and ceremony places. The grounds are a tranquil place to walk, explore, meditate or converse while attending the Center's diverse offerings.

The Center offers a fascinating mix of creative experiences, self-discovery programs, art exhibits, participatory demonstrations, music and dance performances, meditative retreats, modalities in the healing arts, special events and ceremonies, deep interactive connections with nature and much more. Programs are led by remarkable artists and creators, healers, wisdom keepers, and personal growth guides, who inspire through a shared sense of playfulness and visionary ideas.
