ArtNight, Higgs Boson documentary and 1920s dancing this weekend in Pasadena

This weekend, 14-15 March 2014 you can't be bored. There is something for everyone.

Friday night is ArtNight. Get ready to meet friends and take art trams to see various exhibits and sample the delights of gourmet food trucks. ArtNight begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Participating museums include The Armory Center for the Arts, artWORKS, Pasadena Museum of California Art, the Pasadena Museum of History, Shumei Arts Council and the USC Pacific Asia Museum. Restaurants and food trucks participating include: Border Grill, Lobsta Truck, Pie 'N Burger, Tacos Tito and many, many more. For the full list, visit ArtNight website.

The Pasadena Laemmle Playhouse 7 has a special event for people interested in science. Caltech professor of physics Mark Wise will participate in a Q&A after the 7:10 p.m. screening of "Particle Fever" tonight, 14 March 2014.

"Particle Fever" is a documentary about the six scientists working with the launch of the Large Hadron Collider, the most expensive experiment in the history of the planet according to the press material. This led to the 2012 discover of the Higgs Boson.

Celebrate the 1920s and the Jazz Era with the first ever "Roaring Twenties Street Jam" at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio on Lake (1368 N. Lake Ave. in Pasadena). This weekend (15-16 March 2014) is not about one dance, but several: the Charleston, Argentine Tango, Solo Jazz and Early Swing and features, classes, competitions and live music plus vintage clothing vendors. Dance contest prizes are $300.
