This year during Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Swim in Miami, FL, Rana * Rojo, a fashion line created by artists Ash Rana and Damian Rojo, will officially launch. Their resort 2012 collection, "Swim Vixen Swim" showcases Rana Rojo’s fabrics and style seamlessly and playfully. The line fuses modern formulas with ancient traditions into a contemporary matrix. Both designers travel extensively and glean inspiration from the brightest and most visually stunning patterns and forms from around the world. For this collection, Rana Rojo created their prints by digitally molding their findings-which range from medieval textiles to 60s wallpaper design. In addition, all of their pieces are proudly produced in the US.
Their 2012 resort collection Swim Vixen Swim was inspired by 50s undergarments, orientalism, and 60s film femme fatales. Each distinctive piece in the collection is hand dyed and screen-printed.
