ND: You are the photographer behind the currently running Full Sail University, digital media university ad campaign. Speaking of art schools, do you think talent is learned or innately born with.
BP: I think artistic talent is cultivated as opposed to learned. Some people have natural gifts but creativity breeds creativity. Surrounding yourself with experiences, visions and people outside your comfort zone can help cultivate that. Think about it, I know people who were born with talent but then it goes to waste because they don't take the time to care for it. Use it or lose it people.

ND: . What advice for aspiring artists that wish to eat more than ramen noodles in their path to success.
BP: I was always a spaghettiio-o kind of girl. Don't have a back up plan. Forget about that second major and go for it. Know in the back of your mind you don't have anything to fall back on so this must work. If you have something you are truly passionate about, commit to making the sacrifices necessary to purse that passion. Sacrifices you make for your own passion are much easier to tolerate than sacrifices for the same ol-same ol. Let go of self imposed timeframes and enjoy your journey. Enjoy it when it's hard, enjoy it when its easy. Every step you take towards that goal of yours, whatever it may be, is just that...one step closer. Are you going to take one step further than your neighbor or are you a quitter?
