Lange didn't speak about the details surrounding his violent suicide attempt by stabbing, and none of the callers who got through to speak to him asked for details. Lange did, however, respond to a caller's question about a possible return to the Howard Stern Show, saying:
"That would be the greatest thing ever but, you know, listen--I was on the greatest show of all time for about nine years and I put them in a very awkward situation to say the least. So, what am I gonna do? But, I love them all and they were great to me and I appreciate that."

When news of Lange's appearance broke online, it caused so much traffic that the websites for Fox Sports Radio, Nick DiPaolo and Stern Fan Network crashed repeatedly throughout the broadcast.
The term "Artie Lange" also reached Twitter's "Trending Worldwide" list while he and DiPaolo were on air.
The Howard Stern Show is currently on vacation, so HSS fans will have to wait a while longer to hear the King of All Media's reaction to the Prince of Pancakes return to the airwaves.
