'Rescue Me,' a dramedy about New York City firefighters in a post 9/11 world, ended seven seasons on air Wednesday night with an explosive finale. Lange appeared on eight episodes of 'Rescue Me' in 2007, playing "Cousin Mike" to John Scurti's character Lou Shea.
Wednesday night's screening was the first time Artie Lange has walked a red carpet since re-emerging on the show business scene. Lange spent eighteen months out of the public eye after a violent suicide attempt in January 2010. In July 2011, he made a surprise appearance on Fox Sports Radio with Nick DiPaolo, and later gave an extensive interview about his struggles with addiction and depression to comedian Joe Matarese on his 'Fixing Joe' podcast.
Howard Stern that has stated that he does not plan to have Artie Lange back on his satellite radio show to discuss his suicide attempt.
