Artie Lange was reportedly "rushed" to a New Jersey hospital on Saturday night for reasons as yet unknown.
TMZ.com spoke to an Artie Lange representative who released the following statement: "I can confirm that Artie is in the hospital. Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment."
While speculation on Artie Lange's whereabouts has run rampant over the last three weeks, many Howard Stern Show fans believed that Artie Lange was finally receiving treatment for his heroin addiction at an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility.
The news that Artie Lange was in New Jersey at all may come as a surprise to fans who thought the Howard Stern Show sidekick had been shipped away to some earthy backwoods drug rehab where no prying paparazzi eyes could find him.
