Artie Lange pleads guilty to DUI charges

Howard Stern Show co-host Artie Lange pled guilty to DUI in a New Jersey municipal court on Wednesday afternoon.  TMZ.com is reporting that Artie Lange received a fine of $664 and had his driver’s license revoked for seven months as a result of his guilty plea.

Artie Lange was arrested for suspicion of DUI in Tom’s River, New Jersey on July 10th after a fender bender on a local highway.  Artie Lange, who originally told Howard Stern Show co-hosts and listeners that the only drug in his system at the time of the accident was the antidepressant Lexapro, admitted in court to “driving under the influence of a habit-producing drug” on July 10th.  The “habit-producing drug” is said to be a prescription sleeping pill.  The brand name was not revealed in TMZ’s report.

The Howard Stern Show is currently on vacation but will return live on October 5th at 6:00AM.
