Artie Lange is 'doing well physically' after his suicide attempt says Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers.

Artie Lange fans were stunned and sickened by Thursday morning's news that the beloved Howard Stern Show sidekick's hospitalization was the result of a suicide attempt.

Artie Lange attempted suicide by stabbing

Artie Lange apparently stabbed himself nine times during his suicide attempt.  Artie Lange was discovered and rushed to the hospital after his mother visited his Hoboken, New Jersey apartment to bring him food.

Robin Quivers stated that she has spoken to Artie Lange since his hospitalization and that it's "a miracle" that he's alive.  Howard Stern, who has not spoken to Artie Lange since his hospitalization stated:

"I don't even know what condition he's in now."

"Well, he's doing well physically," said Robin Quivers, who is a former Air Force nurse.

Howard Stern only read the title and first line of the New York Post story announcing the Artie Lange suicide attempt.  "Maybe I'm in denial," said Howard Stern.

We love you Artie. We all love you very much. I attempted suicide twice many years ago and found the right help to turn things around. You and your family are in my thoughts. We all love you very much and we're not changing our minds.
