The former Howard Stern Show co-host gave an interview to The Comic's Comic following Wednesday night's show at The Comedy Cellar in New York City, and Lange told the website that he's clean and sober, healthy and grateful for the enormous amount of positive feedback he's been receiving from Howard Stern Show fans:

"People are very nice. They’re happy to see that I’m back and they’re happy to see that I’m healthy. I’ve been clean a while. The response from the audience has been great. People are so nice, you know. It’s such a credit to Howard Stern—the audience base that he created is such a special thing. It took him a long time to create this family of fans, and I was lucky to be a part of that for a while. And that family has sort of welcomed me back whenever I see them on the streets or, whatever, at clubs. And that’s the greatest thing. It’s a good relationship. It’s like having a bunch of friends that you never met or something. It’s good.”

After Lange reemerged on the comedy scene after 18 months in recovery, Howard Stern Show fans flooded the King of All Media with questions about when the lasagna wielding sidekick would be back in "the Artie chair". Stern has repeatedly said that Lange's days at the Howard Stern Show are over, and that there will be no dramatic on-air interview to reveal the details of Lange's gruesome January 2010 suicide attempt.

Lange estimates he's done about 27 nights of stand-up sets in the past 30 days, and says that now, he's looking forward to his new Fox Sports Radio Show with Nick DiPaolo:

"Nick DiPaolo and I are going to do a sports comedy entertainment type radio show that hopefully, eventually will become a TV show as well and I couldn’t be more excited about that. Nick and I have been friends forever. We’ve been dying to work together. We did a test show and it went really well. And, we can’t wait. Hopefully in the next month that’ll be up and running.”

Lange and DiPaolo's Fox Sports Radio gig is currently scheduled to kick off on Monday, September 26th in selected markets.
