On the eve of the eve of the return of the Howard Stern Show 2010, Artie Lange fans are still holding out hope that the tormented comedian will return to the Howard Stern Show on Monday morning.
On Thursday December 31, Howard Stern Show fan site guru and MarksFriggin.com creator Mark Mercer posted on his Twitter and Facebook accounts that a friend tipped him off that comedian Jim Breuer announced that Artie Lange had quit the Howard Stern Show on a local Cleveland radio station. PhillyBurbs.com and other entertainment news sites (Examiner included) thought we might have a definitive answer to the 'Who Shot Artie Lange-esque" cliffhanger that's kept Howard Stern Show fans holding their collective breath for weeks.

The Jim Breuer clips is now thought to be a rerun of an old interview that Jim Breuer gave during another Howard Stern Show vacation cliffhanger when Artie Lange quit the show after his infamous on-air fight with his assistant Teddy in April 2008.
The rumor and its replication shows how desperate Artie Lange fans are for news of the Howard Stern Show's most tragic clown.
The Howard Stern Show left fans with a 2 week cliffhanger when the show broke for the holidays on December 17th. Artie Lange was ordered to talke the last week of the Howard Stern Show in December off completely. Artie Lange was last heard on the Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, December 9th and their has been widespread speculation and a flurry of unconfirmed rumors that he is currently residing at an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility.
After weeks of baseless speculation, Howard Stern Show fans can now hear the tale of Artie Lange right from the King of All Media himself when the show returns live Monday morning at 6:00AM Eastern time.

Unfortunately Artie has always modeled himself after Farley, Belushi et al and I fear he's on an unstoppable trajectory to where those two ended up. Love Artie but he's got a death wish for sure.
