Artie Lange told the Howard Stern Show's Howard 100 News that he and sports commentator-turned-talk-show-host Joe Buck have reconciled after Lange’s controversial appearance on the premiere episode of Joe Buck Live. Artie Lange says that both he and Joe Buck sought each other out to privately resolve the public tension stemming from Artie Lange’s perceived “steamrolling” of the panel discussion with Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis.
Artie Lange states that although HBO Sports President Ross Greenberg has stated that Lange is no longer welcome on the Joe Buck Live stage, Buck himself has been more gracious. Joe Buck told Lange that he understood that Artie thought he was providing the show with what producers wanted.
Joe Buck recently grouped Artie Lange in with comedic greats George Carlin and Richard Pryor at the opening of Buck’s comedy club in St. Louis, Missouri. Unfortunately, Joe Buck’s own comedic delivery is so cryptic that only he knows for sure if he’s being facetious.
