After a successful Art Basel Week, this coming Saturday, January 12th, 2013 Kavachnina Contemporary in Wynwood is presenting a solo show (on view through March 3, 2013) with paintings, drawings and wire sculptures by NYC-based artist Artem Mirolevich.
Mirolevich will be represented by Kavachnina Contemporary at the Russian Pavilion during The Armory Show in New York City in March.
He is a winner of awards and juried art exhibitions worldwide and he has been featured in numerous museums shows, including The New Museum, Chelsea Art Museum and Museum of Russian Art.
Artem’s work has been described as futuristic takes on contemporary concepts.
The show at Kavachnina demonstrates the finest samples of his recent body of work produced in the last four years in which the artist is equally versatile in the use of theme, media and proportion.
Most recently, Mirolevich has expanded his creative endeavors into the modern realm of video installation and wire sculpture, giving his otherwise traditional figurative oeuvre more cutting-edge feel.
