The West Sacramento Community Center located in the new spiffy building across the street from their city hall is requesting proposals for art teachers. They have a small art gallery, a historical exhibit, a coffee shop, an information desk, senior center room and lounge as well as additional rooms for groups.
This is a unique opportunity for those in the community with any experience to show their worth to the city. They are looking for those who want to teach painting, music, or other types of arts such as fitness.
They want those really interested in applying for their position via their website and to know the area of which they will be working. West Sacramento is across the river from downtown Sacramento, where the older community of Washington once was located.
The opportunity to give back to the community is thus offered as well as the fact that the smaller community is need of an arts community being developed for others to enjoy.
Don’t forget to stop by for a cup of coffee and a look at the gallery and exhibit while considering working in this location, there is also the Regional Transit center for those wishing to take the bus instead of parking in back.
