I…YOU…WE…ROBOT!, now at SPACE 242
Let the power of art keep you warm tonight at openings in Fort Point and SOWA -- both of which are conveniently located near fine cocktail establishments, in the event that additional warming of body and soul is required.
At the FPAC Gallery, Kristen Mills and Jessica Hyatt are presenting the show "Interpassivity," which they describe as, "an exploitation of text and portraiture that confronts the simplicity with which we have been culturally enticed to define ourselves." After the show, pull up a bar stool at Drink, and watch their cocktail masters work their magic.
Meanwhile, SPACE 242 launches their January show, "I... You... We... ROBOT: A Visual Homage to Our Inner Geek!" featuring robot-inspired works by more than 70 artists. Find out more in this WBUR story. RSVP for tonight's show and get there early before the line for free beer becomes intolerable. Then head over to funky diner Myers + Chang for Asian cuisine and tiki cocktails.
Where and when: The FPAC Gallery is at 300 Summer Street, Fort Point. "Interpassivity" opens today with an artists' talk from 5-6 pm, followed by a reception from 6-8 pm. The show runs until March 5.
