Art of New Year’s Eve appetizers (Video)

New Year’s Eve is a time where many of us like to celebrate with flowing food and alcohol among friends and family to ring in the New Year. Appetizers have become a huge part of the New Years Eve party for many reasons. One, they’re cute and some are easy to make and less messy. Also, naturally many New Year’s Eve parties start later in the night after many people have already eaten dinner. If you want to put a spin on your New Years Eve appetizers this year, on Dec. 29 the Herald Time Reporter suggested retro appetizers as a perfect themed New Year’s Eve party.

Finger foods are a great way to start a party, help in complementing the drinks, and assist bringing people together socially. There are the usual appetizers: cheese platters, vegetables and dip, chips and dip, nachos, cheese ball, Swedish meatballs, spinach dip, chicken tenders, bruschetta, and the list goes on and on.

If you want to serve something different, as mentioned before the Herald Time Reporter lists retro appetizers such as cocktail meatballs, deviled eggs, pigs in the blanket, and finger sandwiches for a nostalgic twist. For the health-conscious, Sheknows.com lists some recipe ideas that fall under 100 calories, such as salmon-topped cucumber bites.

As for dessert, champagne cupcakes should do the trick!
