Designer Frida Giannini for the Italian fashion house of Gucci featured some rather pretty Art Nouveau inspired designs as a part of their Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 collection that they presented in their runway fashion show for Milan Fashion Week on September 18, 2013 in Milan, Italy.
These satiny Gucci Art Nouveau pieces incorporate ornate plant designs with elegant stylized flowers and leaves in jewel tones such as amethyst purple, mauve, sapphire blue and citrine orange, against a black chiffon background.
Even the coral colored v-necked dress with black piping featured a dropped waist from that period. There are also a multitude of very feminine flowing chiffon and glossy silk maxi dresses or gowns, many with Art Nouveau floral motif, as well as separates with similar fabrics.
Designer Frida Giannini also features shiny metallics in jewel tones to include rusty deep orange, purple, deep tourmaline green, pewter and bronze for her Gucci Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
Shoes include multi-strap sandals, not quite like a gladiator sandal but the straps go all the way from toe to ankle. Bohemian matching leather bags were teamed with the outfits included shoulderbags with fringes in red, cobalt blue, mauve as well as basic black.
