ART Milwaukee Presents: The Aura of Art

This Friday (January 25), take a step back from the work week and visit ART Milwaukee's, “The Aura of Art” at the Hilton Garden Inn in Milwaukee (611 North Broadway Street).

ART Milwaukee's ART Jamboree known to many as a bi-monthly collaborative event put on by the Creative Arts Council, helps bring organizations and artists together for an evening. Each event allows attendees to socialize and take in the array of different types of art making for beautiful scenery.

“The Creative Arts Council is an unprecedented collaborative effort of the many organizations that make Milwaukee a creative city,” said Jeremy Fojut, president and founder of ART Milwaukee. “The council serves as a catalyst of innovative collaboration across disciplines and provides a regular forum for communication among all members of the arts community.”

Kicking off the 2013 ART Jamboree, "The Aura of Art" will be performances by featured dancers from well-known dance company, Danceworks and The Milwaukee Ballet. Other performances to be on the lookout for are the, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, local singer/songwriter, Wolfgang Schaefer, New Word Document artists, Mario (a slam poet) and DJ Trout.

Costume designs from the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, will be showcased through out the event venue and models will take the floor showing some of Timothy Westbrook's latest work.

Finally, lucky seven local artists, chosen from Sara Krajewski (of Inova of Peck School of the Arts) who viewed over 95 submissions, will be displayed on the main levels of the hotel during the ART Jamboree.

The event takes place from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
