If you’re looking for a cool cultural event to add to your weekend fun then head to the historic Barker Hanger for Art Los Angeles Contemporary January 24 to 27. Mingle with artists, curators, collectors and collectors. See what is new and exciting in the world of contemporary art.
In addition to continuing its tradition of showcasing Los Angeles Galleries, the fair will feature a renowned group of international galleries, showing cutting edge new works. A number of galleries will also present an array of compelling solo projects by participating artists.
Accompanying the exhibits, will be a provocative series of lectures, panels, performances an screenings, including; a screening of Ben Jones’s Cartoon Network Animated Series, “The Problem Solverz, and an artist talk by Ry Rocklen showing images and talking about his new furniture line Trophy Modern, a panel discussion Ceci N’est Pas .. Art between France and Los Angeles. These special events will be staged at the fair site, as well as throughout the city in satellite locations.
Art Los Angeles Contemporary has partnered with Ceci N’est Pas, Art Between France and Los Angeles, which will be a five-month cultural art exchange between these two art centers. The fair will accent visiting French galleries emphasizing the relationship between these two cultural centers.
