The Art League of Fort Myers is offering a new class on Friday mornings at 9:30. Artist Bill Gimbel will teach the course.
A member of both the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda and the Art League of Fort Myers, Gimbel exhibits and teaches throughout the area. “I want my paintings to grasp and pull you into the art work, allowing you to navigate the subject matter, making you feel that you are actually there experiencing the event,” Bill says. In addition to his acrylic paintings, Bill enjoys working with oils, pastel, graphite, pen and ink and sculpture.
Gimbel has been a full-time resident of Florida since 1997. Before that, the Philadelphia native worked as a product designer and illustrator for a major Plexiglas manufacturer, and as a freelance artist drawing and painting everything from portraits to murals. He is constantly inspired by the wonder and natural beauty of the area while his inventive nature and inquisitive mind often leads his art down an experimental path.
Bill attended the Studio School of Art & Design and is an award winning artist. His art works can be found in many private collections, corporations, and public areas. For information on how to sign up for Bill’s class or any other event at the Art League of Fort Myers, please call 275-3970 or visit www.artleagueoffortmyers.com.
