Local writer, Suzzy Czarnecki, teams up with renown artist Wyland to create the Heart for Uganda Art Contest. They are partnering with Children of the Nations to raise money for the Children's village in Lira, Uganda. Within the village rests an orphanage and school whose purpose is to provide children with a new future through education. Suzzy will visit Uganda this July and hopes to hand deliver supplies to the village. All proceeds from the contest will help fund the village.

Kindergarteners through twelfth graders are invited to submit art using any medium with a theme focused on nature. The details, as well as entry forms, can be found at www.christiancore.com. The entry fee is $12. All entries must be postmarked May 10,2011. Winners will be selected from each grade level. Each winner and an accompanying parent or guardian will attend a pizza party and painting demonstration with Wyland at his Laguna Beach home on June 7th, 2011.
