Art after dark event inspired by three new exhibits at Tucson Museum of Art (Video)

The Tucson Museum of Art is hosting an Art After Dark event on Friday, January 25, 2013. This event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost to attend event is the same as paying for museum admission or free for museum members. Art After Dark features live entertainment, art activities, and a cash bar selling beer as well as wine.

This Art After Dark event is inspired by the three new exhibits opening at the museum on January 26, 2013. The three new exhibits are called "Desert Grasslands," "Feminina: Images of the Feminine from Latin America," and "Elements in Western Art: Water, Fire, Air, and Earth."

The live entertainment will include a two-part performance called "Ties" by the UA Dance Ensemble. The first part will start at 7:30 p.m. and the second part will begin at 7:50 p.m. There will also be music by Saytr Entertainment and an acoustic set by Tracy Shedd.

About the Tucson Museum of Art: This museum is located at 140 N. Main Avenue, Tucson, AZ. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for general, $8 for seniors (65+), $5 for college students, and free for members, high school students, ages 18 and under, and active military or veteran with ID. The first Sunday of every month is free for everyone.
