'Arrow' targets someone from Diggle's past (Photos)

Felicity: “And here I was beginning to think my days of being Oliver Queen’s personal computer geek were coming to an end.”

Oliver: “Is that your way of saying you missed me?”

“Trust but Verify” is the newest episode of Arrow. If you haven’t seen it yet, beware of spoilers. To refresh your memory on the last episode, click here. Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 7 on the CW, channel 5 for local Houstonians.

This is a big episode for Diggle, but more importantly, the partnership he and Oliver have. They are having trust issues, as most couples do. Since this episode deals with someone from Diggle’s past, it would have been nice to see some of it. All Diggle does is talk about how Ted saved his life back during his first serve and that they talk occasionally. The flashback of the episode does help explain why Oliver has trouble trusting, which is great to see, but there could have been a little more on Diggle’s history. Would you have liked a look at Diggle’s past with Ted?

Thea goes to Oliver with her theories that Moira is having an affair with Malcolm. This shows that Thea is at least paying attention to what is going wrong, even if she may be coming to the wrong conclusion. At least she isn’t off in oblivion. Plus, maybe this will make Oliver start to look at Moira a little differently as well as her relationship with Malcolm. The episode ends with Thea being arrested, so hopefully this will mean Laurel helping another Queen with an arrest. Laurel and Thea could be very fun to watch together in a scene. Do you think Thea will make Oliver more suspicious of Moira?

More time is spent with the Merlyn family, and it is, enlightening. Malcolm invites Tommy and Laurel to dinner in order to get to know Laurel better, well that is one of his motives. The best thing about this storyline is that viewers learn more about what happened to Tommy’s mom. This is definitely setting up to maybe learning about why Malcolm became the dark archer. While it is not the most entertaining storyline, at least it is clear as to why the writers are showing these scenes. Did you enjoy the Merlyn family drama?
