In some new "Arrow" spoilers, another popular DC Comics character will make her way onto the CW superhero show for its second season. According to TV Guide on Sept. 4, "Spartacus" actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson has been signed to play the character of Amanda Waller.
Amanda Waller first appeared in DC Comics back in 1986 in the pages of "Legends." In the comics, Waller was a former congressional aid who took over the responsibility of leading a team of former super villains who worked for the government under the name of the Suicide Squad.
She soon came to odds with the government when her own strong willed stubbornness caused her to do things her own way, making enemies out of the government, other superheroes like Batman and super villains alike. Only the Suicide Squad remained loyal to her.
In the DC New 52, Waller formed the Justice League of America, a group that was separate from the original Justice League.
On "Arrow," Waller will be part of an agency known as A.R.G.U.S. According to the "Arrow" spoilers, this agency has a mysterious agenda and has key information on Arrow. It is also interesting to note that Michael Jai White will play Bronze Tiger in season two, and he was one of Waller's favorite members of the Suicide Squad in the comics.
"Arrow" season two premieres on Oct. 9 on The CW.
