"Arrow" season 2 premieres in just over a month, but fortunately, you don't have to wait that long to check out a new preview of what's coming up this fall. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the show's official Facebook page posted a new preview—and this series is still deliciously dark.
When "Arrow" season 1 ended, the city was in pieces, Malcolm (John Barrowman) managed to find a way to best Oliver (Stephen Amell). "If I learned anything as a businessman, it's redundancy," he explained, and a second device was activated, taking out the east side of the Glades, including CNRI, ultimately leading to his son's death as Tommy (Colin Donnell) went to save Laurel (Katie Cassidy).
The new "Arrow" season 2 promo to the left is pretty depressing (in a very good way, if there's such a thing)—and if you somehow forgot what happened last season, it does a pretty good job of reminding you. "I cam back to save this city," Oliver says. "I failed." Everyone has lost something in this fight and what has happened. Diggle (David Ramsey) lost his brother. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) lost her innocence. Roy (Colton Haynes) lost his home. Laurel lost her heart. And Oliver lost his best friend. Will they win the war? Oliver sure thinks so. "What doesn't kill me, only makes me…" and fortunately Oliver ends that sentence with "sharper" and not "stronger" because there are only so many clichés you can fit into one promo before it gets to be too much. Are you for more action, romance, and arrows?
"Arrow" season 2 premieres Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. on the CW. What do you want to see this season?
