Get ready to see Roy (Colton Haynes) spiral out of control in next week's "Arrow," episode 220, "Seeing Red." On Wednesday, April 16, the CW released promotional photos and a sneak preview teasing what's next.
In the latest episode, after Slade (Manu Bennett) told Laurel (Katie Cassidy) that Oliver (Stephen Amell) is the Arrow, she did some research and spying, but just as she was confronting him, she received the call about her father's attack. However, when she told Lance (Paul Blackthorne) she knew who the vigilante was, he told her he didn't want to hear the name of the man under the hood – and had the right explanation as to why. In the end, Laurel went to Oliver and hugged him, saying it was because he's important to her. How is this going to play out over the next few episodes?
Meanwhile, Oliver found Slade's set-up – and Roy was hooked up along with the prisoners. After briefly fighting both Slade and Isabel (Summer Glau), Oliver took Roy with him, and all Team Arrow could do was wait to see what would happen to him. Isabel may have gotten shot during the fight, but she's not dead, not with Slade's blood.
Next week, the mirakuru sends Roy into an uncontrollable rage, which he unleashes on the city. After Roy's deadly fight with a police officer, Oliver realizes the mirakuru has completely taken him over and has to figure out a way to stop him. It gets complicated when Sara (Caity Lotz) declares him too far gone and says the only way to stop him is to kill him.
Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland), thinking she can get through to Roy, goes on camera at Moira's (Susanna Thompson) campaign rally to lure him to Verdant. Her ploy works, but after Roy attacks her, Team Arrow has to step in.
The "Seeing Red" promo offers a look at Roy losing control, and Thea's worried what will happen if the police find him. "No one dies tonight," Oliver declares, and whether that is true or not by the end of the night remains yet to be seen. What we do know is that all hell is going to break loose and there's going to be a lot of pain for more than one person.
