'Arrow' receives a visit from Helena (Photos)

Oliver: “You want me to kill her?”

Diggle: “I think you would have a long time ago if she looked like me instead of the T-Mobile girl.”

“The Huntress Returns” is the newest episode of Arrow. If you haven’t seen it yet, beware of spoilers. To refresh your memory on what happened last time, click here. Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 7 on the CW, channel 5 for local Houstonians.

Helena is back! Her dad decides to make a deal, granting him life in witness protection, which isn’t something that Helena is okay with. This is a very plausible way to bring her back into the storyline. Her main purpose in this episode seems to be to make Oliver realize that he can’t do what he does and have a normal life. It seems like he should already know this, but perhaps after taking Felicity’s advice and trying to do the dating thing again, Oliver lured himself into a sense of false security. It’s a hard life, being the Hood. What did you think of Oliver in this episode?

There really isn’t much development of Helena in this episode. She hasn’t learned anything. Hopefully the next time she appears she will have grown a bit. The writers do a good job with making the viewers (or at least me) want Helena to become a better person, like Oliver does. She is the only villain that has been presented on the show thus far where this is the case. It sets her apart. She manages to escape, so clearly she will most likely make a reappearance. Would you like to see Helena again?

Here are some quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Roy and Thea seem to be getting closer. At the moment, they are nothing more than a cute romantic storyline, but clearly this will not last for long. Roy has some insane skills, and so it isn’t hard to imagine him working his way into the Hood’s line of work, whether as a foe or sidekick. Right now it’s hard to know what to think of Laurel’s mom Dinah’s theory on Sarah being alive. Through this, viewers get to see a little more broken glimpse of Detective Lance. The paranoid theorist in me suspects that if the writers want to bring Sarah back, maybe she will have some sort of vendetta or vigilante skill like Oliver does. It seems unlikely that if she is alive that she will just be back without some big plot twist attached to her. What are your theories?
