Diggle: “The trick is to keep your weight distributed evenly.”
Felicity: “I thought the trick was to avoid getting into fights.”
Tommy and Oliver get to spend a little bit more time together on this episode. It’s great to see because they haven’t really had much one on one friendship time. Considering that in this episode Oliver reveals himself as the hood to Tommy, it makes sense that the writers highlight them a bit more. Hopefully the two of them will get more time together now, and not just as a part of the love triangle. Have you missed seeing Tommy and Oliver on screen together?
Of course Oliver’s reveal doesn’t go over too well with Tommy, especially after Oliver says that he wasn’t planning on ever telling him. As far as reveals go, this is an interesting one. On the one hand, Tommy is Oliver’s best friend, and so by having him learn the secret there are bound to be some great personal storylines. On the other, what does this mean as far as the hood’s agenda? Tommy isn’t like Felicity who can help out. What will he bring to the table? Will he just be a complication? As of right now, Tommy doesn’t seem to want to tell Oliver’s secret, but maybe this will change. What’s your theory?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Malcolm and Moira seem to be getting closer, although it could just be that the writers have never really done their relationship justice before. What’s most likely going to happen is that Moira will turn in her pal Frank (is that his name) as the traitor since she obviously can’t out herself to Malcolm. Malcolm’s story of where he was after Tommy’s mom died raises some questions. Perhaps he went to a guy that Oliver knows; after all they are both archers. Laurel’s mom comes back into town (hello sweetie!), and says that Sarah might still be alive. Are there just a bunch of almost abandoned islands around where the boat crashed or something? What did you think of all of this?
