Oliver: “Tommy, I’m sorry. I let you die.”
Tommy: “You didn’t let me die, Ollie. You fought to save me because that is what you do, what you have always done. You fight to survive. I know I called you a murderer, but you are not. You are a hero. You beat the island. You beat my father, so fight Oliver. Get up and fight back.”

Oliver’s hallucinations are heartbreaking. He sees Shado, Slade, and Tommy, and he sees them because he holds himself responsible for their death. It says a lot about his mental state, and how he views himself. Oliver typically doesn’t talk about what happened on the island or open up about how he feels, so it is great to allow the ghosts to do this. Plus, seeing Shado and Slade in Oliver Queen’s non-island world is pretty great. The hallucination that affected me the most was Tommy. Why can’t he be back? Does anyone else miss him so much?
A lot of bombshells are dropped in this episode. Let’s briefly chat about them. Roy becomes a super soldier, and almost dies but Oliver revives him (hoodless, I might add). Hopefully Roy will remember seeing Oliver de-hooded, and so that can lead to Roy finally being in the loop. Things will be so much more exciting when he finally learns Oliver’s secret. Roy has become an interesting character. When he first appeared, he was just okay, but now he is entertaining to watch, and it has been great to see how he develops as a character. Barry becomes The Flash! Well, we see his accident that leads to him becoming the Flash. He is just adorable, and it is great to see him interact with Oliver, Felicity, and Diggle. What are your thoughts on what is to come with Roy and Barry?
The most insane bombshell of all is that Slade is alive! First off, how did he come back to life after appearing to be dead for probably at least ten minutes? It will be interesting to see more of him in both Starling City and the island. Oliver thinks Slade is dead, but in the flashback, we see Oliver and Slade reunited when Slade sees Shado’s body (still not okay with her death). Finally the island is getting exciting again, and it will be intriguing to watch how Slade becomes the man he is today (aka one who hates Oliver and wants to destroy him but still calls him a friend). It is a great twist that Slade is still alive, and it will be interesting to see how opinions on him change. Personally, I love him, well at least the island version of him. Obviously stuff happened, and so I’m not sure what to make of present day Slade. Is it just me or does he look really, really old?
