"Arrow" is only part way through season one, and there is more action and drama coming to this series in the episodes ahead. The last episode dropped the bombshell that Sarah could be alive. It is her mother that brings up that possibility. The writers revealed that they had to bring that possibility to light now before the audience was too focused on other story lines. Katie Cassidy revealed that Laurel will be sucked in by her mother, but her mother will also have more information than anyone realizes.
Tommy also knows Oliver's secret, and that does change things. Stephen Amell said the following about that big reveal and the trouble it could cause his character, according to TV Line:
"He saw me in the pilot kill three guys. And Tommy’s a good guy, he doesn’t want to have to reconcile that his friend would do that. [Tommy] could just roll over in bed and say [to Laurel], ‘Oliver is the vigilante’ — and I don’t want that!"
The future arrival of Black Canary and Speedy was also teased by Marc Guggenheim. Fans will see them on the series at some point, but the characters need to earn their appearance. Oliver had five years to become the vigilante. A mystery character was also teased as arriving soon on this series.
