Three arrests have been made for the ATV accident that occurred in July that resulted in the death of the victim according to WDSU News today (September 4, 2014).

Darrin Smith was arrested on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and charged with manslaughter and possession of stolen property.

Sadie Brown was also arrested yesterday and charged with accessory to manslaughter and possession of stolen property.

Matthew Cousan was arrested on Tuesday night, September 2, 2014 and charged with accessory to manslaughter and obstruction of justice. Cousan remains in the Orleans Parish jail.

Daphne Cola, the victim, was hit by the ATV in Treme on July 27, 2014 and was transported to a local hospital where she later died from the injuries sustained in the accident.

Smith and Brown are believed to be the ones riding the ATV when control was lost of the ATV, causing it to flip several times, hitting Cola and a parked vehicle according to police records. Smith and Brown fled the scene. The accident occurred at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and Columbus Street at approximately 11:30 p.m.
