Good news for fans of the canceled-too-soon sitcom "Arrested Development." Amid increased speculation concerning the long-talked-about movie, fans of the cult show can at least be certain they will get the chance to witness an 'AD' mini-reunion on TV screens this fall.
The Live Feed is reporting that David Cross has joined the cast of FOX's "Running Wilde" as a series regular, reuniting with his former co-star Will Arnett, and "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz, who is also working on the show.
"Running Wilde" follows Steve, the spoiled son of an oil tycoon played by Arnett, as he reunites with an old high school flame, played by Keri Russell, while attempting to become a better person.
Russell plays an environmentalist activist in the comedy series, with Cross reportedly playing the radical environmentalist fiance to her character Emmy, living with her and her daughter in the Amazon. He is expected to appear in at least seven of the first thirteen episodes.
In the pilot the part was originally played by actor Andrew Daly ("Eastbound and Down") before being recast.
"Running Wilde" premieres Tuesday, September 21 on FOX
