Arrested Development Movie Now More Likely Than Ever

That wink-wink, nudge-nudge clue to a movie that teased fans at the finale of Arrested Development seems to be coming to fruition.

It was recently announced that the Netflix return of Arrested Development isn't necessarily the show's fourth season. According to E! lead actor Jason Bateman doesn't want fans to call the upcoming episodes Season 4. Instead, think of it "as an act one that will lead to a feature film."

Fan outcry has proven time and again that a movie would be undoubtedly profitable. However, if the Arrested Development movie never sees the light of a projection box, Bateman has assured fans that they won't be left dangling from a cliff. "It is certainly a satisfying conclusion to these episodes if for some reason a movie doesn't happen," reports E!

Arrested Development will return to homes in May with the new episodes available to stream. No word yet if they will be released episodically or simultaneously.
